Saludo Jose visite Walvis Bay en 1984 quando vivendo (I have trouble with past tenses in Spanish) en Botswana 1982-1985. Tengo calor por esta anos.
My first visit to Walvis Bay, was in 1974 that I was 21 years and Namibia was a colony of South Africa.
Best regards, Josè Mª
It was a scary visit for me. I only had one hour on my passport to pick up a drum of fish oil for a tannery in the Kalahari and the fellow kept questioning about my business. At the time we were not allowed in S Africa. They had not looked closely at my passport and I was worried I'd be held for further questioning if I stayed past the hour.
Yes Tery, at that time with Aparheid, staying in the city without permission from certain hours, especially if you were white, could cause many problems, especially for black pablaciòn that was a very bad.
Warm regards, Josè Mª
