Very good picture considering the circumstances. I don't know if I would have even remembered to use my camera (except maybe in self defense!).

The Man in the Maze™ on August 26, 2011

Thank you Art! ....self defense..??....hmm...the fact is that with them you cannot even be safe on a tree beause they can climb much better than us!

Art Brown on August 27, 2011

Well, if a bear was coming at me and the only thing I had in my hands was a camera, I'd probably try to hit the bear with it. Yes, black bears are very good tree climbers, and hitting them with a camera would probably just annoy them and break the camera.

hehe hehe you are right!

Oh ... it's taking a very hard shot. In such a scenario. If it was me ,I would run away before:))

The Man in the Maze™ on August 30, 2011

ho noo! if you run away it's more dangerous! Thank you Roger31600 to you too, I am glad to receive your encouragement!

A black bear at 59.90mm???? That's a heart stopper! Congrats on being able to capture the moment without shaking your camera to pieces! :D Cheers, pear

The Man in the Maze™ on September 8, 2011

....well,...to be honest....a bit of shaking occurred when he started to speed up....fortunately he did not change direction....and went the other way!

What an interesting, but also dangerous situation! The bad thing is that one of these good climbers do not need try only to climb a tree. I would not come up anyway :-(! Like this successful shot!

The Man in the Maze™ on March 9, 2014

yes they are excellent climbers and certainly faster than us, this one begun to run very fast, fortunately not in our direction!
