As visitors and guests......passed through the doors of 'Kedleston'...they would be greeted by the grand view of this hall...consisting of 20 fluted columns.../..Much of the house...with a frontage of 107 metres...was designed by...Robert Adam.....The columns were originally round and smoothed...but were 'fluted' on the preference of 'Lord Curzon' at a later date.../....Parts of the house - which is a 'National Trust' property - are open to visitors....Dj.....
