A large mother brown bear with two lovely cubs, (you can see one of them near the dead trunk, this time I was cautious not to get too close.....she could be a very protective and dangerous mummy.....when she is with cubs

Grazie Paolo,si esatto! un cucciolo e' semi nascosto dal tronco alle spalle della mamma, l'altro e' all destra della mamma, leggermente indietro a lei in linea d'aria, io ero ad una sessantina di metri dalla famigliola

The only way I would get within 50 meters of a brown bear would be if I was inside my truck. They can run at least twice as fast as I can and since I usually hike alone, I wouldn't even have the hope of outrunning my hiking companion ;-)

I guess I just got rattled by seeing a bear.
Thank you Art, I like this picture too and recalls very beautiful memories of a majestic place! Me a my friend made sure to stay at a safety distance, a mother bear is nothing to play around too close, they are serious when defending their cub!
