What a view! I didn't realise they had amphitheatres anywhere on this continent.
Nice perspective! Is this where they play those concerts?
wow, wouldn't it be fine to play a gig up here?
The landscape looks refreshingly green in this one! A wonderful place to listen....everyone would leave if I played:)
On second look...wow, what a huge place...after I realized the ants were people:)
This is pretty much the same view that Neil took only I included the whole stage. It really is quite a place. His father oversaw the crew that built it and I hear it was all done without machinery. It is hard to imagine in today's world.
Hi larry! They say if you go on the stage and whisper the people on the top row can hear you. Make it a good appearance! :))
Nice shot, Margo! I liked your earlier photo of Red Rocks, but comparing them I think this one is definitely better ... better light, better angle, more colorful, lacking the large shadow. Like
I'd love to see a concert there someday, but I don't get to Colorado very often. My wife's been bugging me to go, though ... she went to college in Boulder and hasn't been back since. How far is Boulder from Golden?
Greetings from Seattle, Bryan
Hi Bryan. Thank you for your very nice comments. Boulder and Golden are both on the west side of Denver and I am guessing it would be about 20-30 miles between them. It is about a 45 minute trip.
I just showed this photo to my wife. She told me she'd been to 2 or 3 concerts at Red Rocks while in college and remembers it fondly.
Well Bryan, you two will definitely have to get out here for a concert. The season is pretty much over for this year but you can get the 2012 concert list on line in January.
Hi who! Sorry I must have missed your comment. It is a wonderful view especially in the evening during a concert. Thanks for your comment.
tery it looks like I missed you too. There are some wonderful concerts there and many album have been recorded there.
Hi mardrl, Maybe we were divinely inspired to choose this location, you never know?
