what a lovely "sheepy" moment Dear Amelia - so peaceful! L1 in expecting many others soon - regards, Mirko
I think she should take them to find some proper food. Those rocks don't look very appetising.
Hello there Mirko, thanks for dropping by. These are a flock of Norwegian wild sheep, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Hello Roy, these sheep are normally found in a large field at Vistnestunet, and it seems that they are allowed to roam free at the end of the summer. There is plenty of good grazing in the rock fissures, and I have never seen such a happy flock :))
An amazing scenery and interesting informations from you, Amelia.
Are you shure this are wild sheep? I see the earmark in each of them and they are all shaved!
Btw: who is "little Bo Peep"?
Of course they are looked after dear Klaus. They are normally kept on a pasture in Vistnestunet, part of the open history of the area. This is the first time that I have seen them on the cliffs by the sea. The website for Vistnestunet tells me they are Norwegian wild sheep. They certainly are a mixed bunch :))
Little Bo Peep is a character in an English nursery rhyme :))
It is their annual trip to the seaside ~ and some Rogaland rock :) No doubt there is a Punch and Judy around the corner :))
The kiss me quick hats looked great on their horns Nick, butt punch was in short supply. It was a shear joy to see them wandering about like this :))
Trust you to cut to the chase dear LGM I hope that they remembered that knitted wollen swim suits get saggy and baggy very quicky :))
That's OK with the sheep - they are back in the pen by the time they get to wear their swim suits :)
Beautiful landscape and the walking sheeps... i liked it! Best wishes, Joli
super shot Amelia.
I LIKE it
Dear Joli, many thanks. This flock of sheep wandered along the coast with me, and then back again. They are quite tame and live on a 'museum farm' where children (and adults) like to visit.
Thanks Mick. I have to say that the flock made my walk very enjoyable :))
Warm wishes, Bo Peep
Hello dear Amelia What a great photo! I love this. Your title is perfect and you caught such a great angle to get this many of the sheep, all shapes, sizes, and colors. Its a really great capture Amelia...It's a big likle here my friend. Hope you are well, you have really been busy with your gallery. Ive not seen all these lastest uploads. had a busy schedule here some some time, must get around to viewing more of your new shots!
Best of wishes
Thank you dear Sarah, I'm glad you liked the title too :))
We have also been very busy in our garden here at home. It doesn't get the TLC that it deserves these days - I used ti open it several times a year in aid of charity. It would take some time now to get it back to its former glory. I have so many photos to post - some of them from last year. They may never see the light of Panoramio :))
Warm hugs, Amelia
