Cheers Alan! These designs are legends! A4 class "sir nigel gresley" on the right (holder of the british post war speed steam record, same class as the "Mallard" the world record steam speed holder at 126mph in 1938! 9f "Cock o the north" on the left, The class was last designed steam loco in the UK before the end of steam!

Hi hugh this gives some idea what it was like inside a Steam running shed befor steam finished althouh it was a bit more murky with all the smoke.It must have been a filthy job.Likebest wishes my friend Alan

Greetings H :) Thanks for the advance notification on your Yorkshire photos! I'm sorry I missed your visit..I was otherwise preoccupied by my daughters greater needs and I was missing, "presumed dead", for several weeks!

As for this beaut, you must be "in the know" to get access to this shed..It is normally out of bounds to visitors..You have caught the workshop atmosphere very well hugh ;) Scenes like this are not so common these days..I hope you enjoyed your visit to the area and I look forward to the results of your labours..I am certain that you found plenty of material..

The BR heavy freight 2-10- is, I believe, the Cock O the North, recently restored and now in permanent residence at Goathland, the other engine is my old friend Sir Nige!

It's a big Like from me 2c..I'll be passing by again soon!
