Beautiful picture. Brings back fond memories. Guy
You could have taken this picture in The Netherlands!
I thought of that as I was walking along the river, Norrel - though I'm sure glad there wasn't a boat with that Dutch cargo in the 109F San Antonio heat!!!
Thanks Geezer! How long were you in San Antonio?
Hi, Kamalyn. I was at Fort Sam Houston for 4 months of MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) training in 1956. Spent my free time in Brackenridge Park with a few trips down to the River Walk. I dined at several restaurants that opened up toward the river but never ate on one of the restaurant boats. I did a lot of walking along the river. It's a very interesting place.
idyllic feel to this :)

It looks like that pilot is going to get his nose flattened any moment soon, lol.
Thanks Graham! Sultry is probably more like it, though it hadn't reached the day's high of 109F, but the river walk down below street level in a busy, hot city really is an oasis. Wish I'd had more time there!
太感谢你了 行者无路 !
Hi Roar - Thanks! lol, I hadn't noticed how low the underside of the bridge was until you mentioned it. I guess those river pilots must have to really pay close attention!
