With the birth of a new town called South Wigston in 1883 all the relegions were in a hurry to build places of worship and catch and add the sinners to there congregations within a few short years all beliefs were catered for.
Only one Church of the five built before 1900 has shut its doors and thats the one in Canal street known to me as the Church of Christ .
