I grew up in this central Illinois county (Montgomery) and since then have lived in Will, Jackson, Effingham, and Randolph Counties. So I've spent a lot of time getting to know the state from north to south. It is home and I just love it and am happy to share what I can of it! I hope to get out and get a few more photos to share soon. My photography hasn't been keeping up with my moves lately! Thanks for visiting and I hope you also keep up the good work! I enjoyed your church photos from down around here and they have inspired me to get out and take some for myself... hopefully I'll get around to it soon!

Also thank you, Monika! Believe it or not, I took this photo thinking it would look like quite an impressive hill. For the county in which it sits, it really is quite the distinctive topographic feature though that hardly comes across in this photo. At least the slope seems to help the composition. I am glad you liked it!

I think this picture is good just the way it is. I took my picture from on top of the hill because the view was better from it rather than looking at it. This is a good view of the rise, and you may gotten another good one from on top of it as well. Keep taken local pictures. I really enjoy them.
