Actually that is the runway so to speak. Twin Otters land on just about anything and this was actually one of the better places to land and take off!

Fer sure, I am very familar with the old Twin Otter. Have a few photos of them at our old firebase in Negrito, New Mexico. :o)

Yep, I'm a retired pilot and mechanic. My spouse is retired Air Force. 21 years & 2 wars.

Wow that's amazing! I worked for the old Dewline sites in the arctic for 9 years and worked with a lot of Air Force personnel from all over the U.S. They were a really great bunch of folks!
