Hurricane Irene blew in a lot of shore birds not typically seen along the Massachusetts coast, including these **juvenile Black Skimmers.
They are discussing "Where are we now?"
And one says to the other "Who decided to take that fork in the road?
"Dude, I don't see no party! Where's the babes? Can I take off the party hat now?"
"Dude! Chill. You are so juvenile."
Nice shot. They're so cute!
Warmest wishes, Liam ;)
LOL, Tery - yeah, probably something along the lines of 'Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore!' ;)
haha Nawtika - or perhaps 'Duuuuude, why are our party hats on the front of our faces??????'
Thanks Liam! They sure were cute, and much smaller than I'd thought skimmers were. And very nicely, they weren't very skittish at all, so let me get pretty close to them. It was quite a treat!
