Steandeb, you're probably on your way over now. Brisbane is in for a period of wet weather - you might get lucky! As to when this and similar - the best storms are in summer.

To all, I have now launched a third (!) alias on Panoramio to cover just photos of orchids photographed at shows and displays. I haven't put any to a location as mostly they would be irrelevant.

So, the three aliases I have now are: Greg Steenbeeke - landscapes, general photos, sunsets Orkoogy by Greg Steenbeeke - plant photos and Orchids by Greg Steenbeeke - orchid photos from cultivated plants displayed at shows and meetings.

I welcome all to come for a look.
