Thanks for appreciating Tonga with me, Berend. Like you often do, my wife and I were having an evening walk around the shore. It was low tide - at high tide I was on a surf-ski circumnavigating the small island in the picture.

Warm greetings from the north of Tonga.

Hi, Gerard. Many people describe this area as paradise - and in nice weather like this it is, but the wild cyclones that pass through here some summers are not my idea of paradise. Thanks for the L.

Cheers Jeff. I am pleased to share this with you, but I am sorry I cannot use the internet very much lately. We love this environment.

Hello dear Ian Your photos of Tonga Islands are beautiful and make me dream of overseas holidays... maybe one day ?? I wish a good luck to the Tongan team for a probable rough game against France ! I'll have another thought for you ! Greetings from France, Michael

I think we need to record the result here, Michael. Tonga 19 defeated France 14!

So now you will have to come south again and find your way to the Rugby breeding grounds of Tonga, Samoa and Fiji!

And thanks for the appreciation of the photo. There is not much use for a bike here, but a sea-kayak or surf-ski might be worth using!

See you when you do come back to the antipodes.

Thank you very much, Ah-Pong. This is the South Pacific. You deserve a holiday down here!

Wild and peaceful... L6

And good for the soul...

As it was low tide, it was possible to walk right around the island and though we didn't feel that enthusiastic we did enjoy walking along the reef flats that surround the island. Earlier in the day I had paddled a surf ski along this shore passing above the remnants of the old wharf seen here in the background.

Warm regards, Edmundo, from Tonga.
