Take a 'trip' inside, and as the olde' word sayeth, 'sling yer' hook', literally. See how well and how long it takes you to leave the hook on the horn on the wall, especially after a pint or three!
I was a regular customer in this pub back in the late 80's (and well remember the sale to Hardy & Hanson's) up to early 2000's, so there's little you can tell me about this place. As for the 'Ring the Bull' game, I can put the ring on the horn from 6 different positions and even after a skinful. I've watched a lot of people try it and they didn't have the faintest idea until I showed them how easy it is. The Ship in the box upstairs used to hang from the ceiling in the 'Ward Room' downstairs and there is supposed to be a curse on it to the effect that anyone attempting to clean it will suffer death in some way.
