Especially for you John, I posted some photos of real Dutch heritage and culture. Alkmaar ('Little Amsterdam') is one of the Dutch cities, like Dordrecht, Leiden, Haarlem, with many historic buildings. Alkmaar is also known for its famous open air Cheese Market.

Hi Erik, this is a very cool shot of the windmill. A classic one. With the cool blue sky. This reminds me of my home (Heimat) East Frisia and Frisia.
Greetings,
Carsten

Thanks Carsten! Indeed, you'll find them everywhere, here and there, some more famous (Kinderdijk) then others. It's not uncommon to have a mill right inside a city. There's a more or less famous mill in Zaandam (Molen De Huisman) which is used for producing the well known 'Zaanse Mosterd' (mustard). We do have other stuff than tulips, wooden shoes and windmills though...;-)
greetings, Erik
