Interesting; that tree left of center has been burned to a crisp, but everything around it seems fine. Hi Marilyn.

Marilyn, it's wonderful to see how nature survives. I have seen similar burnt forests on the Canarian islands. It looked very sad after they burnt, about 2 years later the black trees pushed again and the ground was full of young trees. It's very comforting to see things like that. Your photo ia beautiful in a double sense. It's a message and at the same time very well composed from the artist's point of view. Thank you!
My best regards, May

Thank you, Hank, Tamás, and May. The fire must have been frightening because it was extensive and I took this picture very close to the town of Hall's Gap. One important park road was still closed 20 months later. Yet nature revives, and gum trees (varieties of eucalyptus) actually depend on fire for their rejuvenation! And here the process is beautiful to see. Greetings, Marilyn

Thanks, Anne and Alex. The restorative powers of nature are certainly strong--and in this case beautiful. Cheers, Marilyn
