This picture shows the sandbank "Kachelotplate". Rising above the sea level since 1975, the sandbank reaches a height of 2,5 m and shows the first little dunes as well as a slightly growth in early 2003. During the storms in autumn 2006, the dunes were flattend by the sea. In the left background you see the bird island of Memmert to which the Kachelotplate is approaching continuously.
