If you get a nice day to visit here, you should take the time to walk around the loch side. The further end up the left hand side of the loch can be pretty muddy, so wear some good shoes. The walk at a steady pace should not take much longer than two to two and a half hours.

As you can see from my handle, i am a native of Crieff. As teenagers we used to bike up to the smaller Loch Turret (before the dam) and picnic in the abandoned shooting lodge now beneath the waters.
