Great action set Jethro. Well done. I would offer you another beer, but I'd hate to think of you getting too drunk on my acolades.

Thank you Kenny - I spent two days of dawns photographing this guy plus others so became a little familiar with what happens next (you need to do that so you can pan the camera etc).

Therefor it is on this basis that I say what I say next!

I think he fell in!

Thank you for the thought KC even if the substance is lacking. I enjoyed taking these actions shots almost as much as any I have taken recently.

Thank you both - Jethro

Nice shot! Love how you kept the action on the board, but stopped the rest.

Warmest wishes to you in NC, Liam ;)

Hmm... you make it sound like I did that Liam.

When in fact I just pressed the shutter and I set the cameras into stop the figure action and keep the board moving mode.

Dang clever things these.

Another nice one, Jethro - a great action shot and beautiful colors!!! The water spray catching that light is very special.

David Brown Photogra… on September 14, 2011

Thank you Kevin for your kind words. I wish I had posted it bigger now so you could zoom into the water droplets and feel the light!

:o)

Best wishes from ....errrr... let me check - Raleigh

Awesome action shot, Jethro! The golden sky reflected in the spray, the lovely contrasting blues of the sea, and the 'frozen figure' on the moving board centred beautifully! Does your camera really have a means of doing this? Love it! Theolfa

David Brown Photogra… on September 16, 2011

This new camera has a mode for everything Theolfa

Now, I just have to work out how to use it.

I found the button that says just take hundreds and one will be a good one

This is the one

:o)

Many thanks for your lovely comment - Jethro

Oh! I've got two of those, Jethro! I must chect it again, and use it on my bird pics. I'm just not great on focus :(

David Brown Photogra… on September 17, 2011

I'm the same. I loose concentration too.

What?

Looks to me like the view is going to disintegrate fast:)

Great shot! Everything is lined up just right. Bound to be one of those if you shoot enough....but does not always work for me:( Looks like you are having great fun with the new camera. What is the verdict now?

David Brown Photogra… on October 24, 2011

Thank you Joy - I think you are right.

The camera is perfect for me. Enough for me to learn but not so much for me to break.

I'm going to throw the box away!
