How did "Byam Martin Mountains" get its name? I do research before asking you. I find very little about these strikingly beautiful remote regions of the far north.

My guess is an arctic explorer. There are so many named mountains, islands and glaciers that it's very tough to get the information. There is no one stop shop to find out other than google and we know that doesn't work very well for obscure facts! Cheers Bob! I see you're still a lookin.....
