The watcher at the Doors of Moria? ;o)
NAGY Albert, on March 13, 2007, said:
No, Moria is somewhere else. :-) It is under construction between Erstfeld and Bodio. :-)
Richard: It is quite clean. The colour is caused by solute minerals.

Is the tree in lake? dead but live on place. wanderfull...
NAGY Albert, on March 20, 2007, said:
Thanks! There are thousands of tree trunks in the Killer Lake. The lake arose after a landslide in 1837 (caused by an earthquake and/or the rainy weather), that closed the flow of the creek. The valley and the forest got flooded, and the water conserved the trunks until now.

Hali, a változatosság kedvéért magyarul is: A békás szorosról nem tudnál képet csinálni?? Meg a Gyilkos hegyról ami eltorlaszolja a tavat. Télleg csodálatos egy kép grat érette!!!!
NAGY Albert, on June 6, 2007, said:
Köszönöm szépen! :-) A Békás-szorosról van pár képem, de nem túl jók, és egyik sem tud olyat mutatni, amit más még nem mutatott meg. A hegyről meg sajnos egyáltalán nincs képem, az a nézet valahogy kimaradt. Jó lenne, ha idén vissza tudnék oda menni. Most viszont légvonalban is 1300 km-re vagyok.

atliance: You asked, "why calling it killer". Gyilkos-tó - Killer Lake - is the usual Hungarian name of the lake. Although there are tales and legends suggesting otherwise, it was named after the mountain located on the lake's eastern side. The mountain's name is Gyilkos (In Hungarian: killer, murderer, also lethal, fatal, killing etc.), its Romanian name is the same, just written according to Romanian phonetics: Ghilcos.
In the 19th century, the name Gyilkos-tó appeared as Gyilkos tava in the first place, which can mean either Lake Gyilkos or "The Lake of the (Mount) Gyilkos". Probably, this second meaning is the key to the name's origin.

Expressive, deep green colours. How so it turns out?
NAGY Albert, on September 12, said:
shamkovel.com: Thank you! As far as I know, the colour of the lake is a result of solute minerals, but I am not sure.
