very good work with the shadows and the light. But I don't want to work right now. The rake has to wait.

Very good job Marilyn!

Thanks, eme jota, Carsten, and Alex. I was at my computer late this afternoon, and when I turned in my chair, this is what I saw in our back yard. So my camera and I made a quick visit outdoors!

Very nice soft light and long shadows! I like it, Marilyn! It looks like almost all maple leaves!

Thank you, Ryan, Jacques, and Tom. Years ago our sons suggested to my husband that he stop mowing the very back part of our lawn, so the smaller stems are all volunteer maples that sprouted and grew once they had a chance. Marilyn

Thank you, Veroushka and Tamás. Yes, "été indien" is very beautiful here, but now we are entering into a less attractive season, the time after autumn colour but before snow. Greetings, Marilyn

I was surprised when I hit "See this area" to find there are other photographers posting pics of Guelph, Marilyn. I have now had a look around your community as well as into your backyard, and am starting to feel at home. Ian

I'm glad you're becoming acquainted with my turf, Ian. Hey, Guelph now has a population of over 100,000 so there should be some others posting photos! I'm still planning, however, to take and post more pictures: there's lots to be explored and shared. Incidentally, this is a closer view of some of what shows through the window in my picture of my (unusually clean) desk. Marilyn
