The shutters on everything is a tragedy nowadays Keith
It was taken on Sunday, Jethro, and that is why everything is closed up.
I'm thinking a tag for "Fortress Britain" is needed Keith
Are there large cities anywhere that would not use gates, bars, or steel shutters when a ground level shop is closed?
Probably not, Austin. And Blyth would thank you for calling it a large city. :)
Sundays. Absolutely horrible things, or at least they were before 1994.
I did the subtitles for a brilliant old BBC talkshow called Brass Tacks hosted by the equally brilliant Eric Robson. I remember the debate on Sunday trading almost word for word and... oh dear. I should stop. :P
I hate the fact that Sundays have ceased to be a family day as the hoards head to worship at the alter of St. Michael these days, whoelius. Bras Tacks and Eric Robson ...... now that takes me back....
