Guest House. It was not 5 star in comfort, but at least 4 star in good, memorable experiences! One of those friendly places, family run, old villa. About $10/ night! For about $40-$50, you get a really nice place! Some of the hotels in Luang Prabang are luxurious, comfortable. Way better and superior in service than many $200 hotels in USA.

I am on budget + I do not care much about luxury.

It seems that every building in Luang Prabang is Guest House. If it is not a restaurant, retail store, temple or government office

Well, the electricity failed twice in the 4 days we stayed in Luang Prabang. No big deal, they are ready for it!

It was fixed in few hours! Recently (2 weeks ago)in San Diego 8 million people were without power for whole day!

Hola,Tomros.

Esta foto me gusta,LIKE20.Increible parece un viaje en el tiempo!!!!!Muy hermosa esta imagen.....

Saludos desde Caracas.

Reminds me of my many backpack trips to Southeast Asia between 1993 and 2003, when the hands and minds of the travellers were not so infested with smartphones and tablets, and you could really talk to the people. Later on I prefered hotels but admittedly, the atmosphere in those guest houses is unique. ~+~+~+~ LIKE! / GEFÄLLT MIR! ~+~+~+~+~ Jürgen grüßt Dich aus Frankfurt am Main / Jürgen says hello from Frankfurt-upon-Main (Germany)
