Yes very different. In mine, the lava flow is little more than a hundred years old and already there are trees taking back the rock. here it seems there never were to be trees. a nice panoramic.

Wikipedia says that in 1798 the last eruption happened from the -Pico Viejo, 3134m-. This is the left part of the big vulcan mountain. At my several hikings I have seen exactly 1 tree at the -Las Cañadas- ... Thank you for your comment.

Ja Kojak, zumindest bis zu diesem Sommer. Durch die Großbrände in diesem Jahr sind ca. 75% der Vegetation verloren gegangen und T. hatte viele schöne grüne Flecken :-(. Das Teide Hochplatto gehört allerdings nicht zur "grünen Seite" der Insel.

Her Sonstiges: thanks for your comment to my High Tatra panorama. You have also perfect panoramas from Alps, but this from Pico de Teide is my favourite.
