This is the same Picture as before, in case you saw it and were wondering, I just got a new noise filter and had to repost most of my Pictures.

Here are the comments posted on the previous version:

Vasco Pires said: Magnificent! That overdetailed tree and the somehow blurry cloudy sky makes an outstanding contrast! Congratulations

Florian Eichhorn said: Thank you Vasco Pires. This is the first time I have ever used the Orton effect. Thanks for the comment. Greeatings from Germany. Florian Eichhorn

Vasco Pires said: Orton effect? Please enlighten me

Phoenix51200 said: Yes, what is the Orton effect? Is it something to do with the colours behind the tree? The picture looks nice, whatever you did with it. (And by the way, you might want to check the thumbnail on your forum post. Looks like you put in an extra space after the number so it doesn't work.)

Florian Eichhorn said: Orton photos are generated by the overlay of two images of the identical scene. When originated by Michael Orton using slide film, one image is sharply focused and over exposed. The other is very out of focus and over exposed. If you want more information you can check at: This is the first time I ever did it so I'm not sure if Orton effects allways look like on my picture. I actually stubled over it by accident and thought that it look nice ;). I hope this helps Thanks for telling me about my mistake in my fourm poste Phoenix51200. Greetings from Germany! said: Florian, I like the effect! It would be interesting to see the picture without the Orton effect to compare.

I have added the Original file for this picture now.

Florian, this is a wonderful image and needs to be framed and hanging in my home. Wonderful, and deserving of a yellow star.

Peace, Manack

Florian Eichhorn on January 21, 2008

Well thank you Manack. I wish you peace too ;), feel free to hang it on your wall if you want to :)

Thank you Florian. A very generous offer and one I will certainly take up...if my wife doesn't use this as inspiration for another painting which will end up on a wall anyway.

Kind Regards, Manack

Здорово! Похоже на картину из 50-ых годов, где пейзаж написан с двух сторон стекла масляными красками.
