"Comment by : THIS WAS PLACED NO WHERE NEAR THE PALACE, NOT TO MENTION NO WHERE NEAR A POOL!"

Me: Now how did that happen? The others were right. Thanks for the correction!

Either by glitch or deletion, emerson85's comment disappeared. Emerson85 said that the grass and many trees and bushes had died and that a lot of temporary structures went in. That's all possible since this photo was taken in 2004. I wonder what the upkeep is like now that the U.S. has left the Palace. Also, I took this photo before the weather got hot and everything turned brown for the summer, so that may be part of it too.

Hi Joe,

I worked 6 weeks in Baghdad in 2004 and I have just completed a small book about it. What conditions apply if I would like to use any of your many very nice photos?

Greatful to hear from you! Kind regards,

Hi finabilder (Inga-Lill?): Thanks for the compliment. Perhaps we passed each other in the hallways in 2004? I'm flattered that you'd ask. I'd be glad to talk more. I may also have more photos you may like that I didn't post here. Please write to me at this address: jgattuso@juno.com.

Kind regards,

Joe
