Hi David,

Again another great composition. Just by including the parent and children, you have made this a balanced and very interesting picture. Like it! Do we know anything about the history of this boat, and why it is broken like this?

Best Wishes Peter

Great scene David, was this a ship or a building in the shape of a ship? Sorry, didn't see the earlier post.. Reminds of the concrete ship down in Cape May NJ SS Atlantus

Hello David, enjoyed your gallery. I use to fish from this ship back in the late 1950s to early 1960s. Back then you could walk almost to the bow. Like Kind regards, Michael

davidcmc58 on August 24, 2013

Michael, thanks for your visit and kind words. I used to take my kids to it and fished from it as well. That was in the 90's. Now, it is fenced off from the main pier due to safety concerns. Boy, the smell of the bird waste when you get near is absolutely unbearable! Greetings, David.

Has this wreck been covered with cement and ornamented with bricks? A great photo! Reminding memories of life and death with herons ...YsL, regards.

davidcmc58 on March 19, 2014

Yes, it has been covered with cement but no bricks. It's also been fenced off for safety reasons. Now, a very smelly home for thousands of sea birds.
