Pretty spiffy Herb, I've never seen a cobblestone beach before.

Guy and Erik, on seeing this, live, I took several shots trying to catch the colours, shapes and mood but did not think that they would look so good in the end result. Thankfully, they were OK, as you surely agree. Aye, these tracks do have a look of cobblestones as you point out. I didn't see that.
Cheers, Herb

This is HDR i suppose. If it is it's a very neat and splendid photo which deserves a Y in my opinion.

Mher another visit another like
Jan, welcome to my gallery. It is always good to see new visitors here. Yes, you are right, this is HDR. This shot would have been almost impossible without it. By enlarge, I try to keep HDR as a tool to show what I really saw, rather than the restrictions of light through a lens onto a restricted sensor. Great that you enjoy this and a special thanks for the YS.
Best wishes to you all, Herb

Hi Jan, I had by this time, realised it was my old friend in another guise, that visited me here. A new name, a little like a new suit can sometimes make a new man of you perhaps! Thanks again and every success as Jan Appeldorp.
John, always a pleasure to behold you here. Yes a simple picture in its way but telling us a multitude of stories perhaps. All the best.
Many greetings to you both, Herb

"Gold Coast" came into my mind. Nature and traces of technology fit well together. And yes, I agree, pic should be viewed in large size. L

Yuri and veranik thanks for more visits from you both. At school I enjoyed art but my hands would never move to create paintings, drawings or sculptures, however on getting to my teenage years I realised that I could capture what I saw and felt via my camera. I call it "having the 'eye'" You know the feeling too, I guess!! Thanks for the likes
Happy 2013 to you both, Herb
