Caro Mario Le foto sono bellissime, pero' le isole dell'diavolo non si chiamano cosi'. In dialetto sono Paklinski, che non c'entra con pakao (inferno), ma con paklina (resina). Cosi' la traduzione essatta sarebbe Isole Spalmadori, ossia in Inglese Resin Islands. So, che non suona misterioso come Devil's island, pero' noi dell luogo troviamo molto buffo quando si sbaglia... Comunque le foto sono stupende! Grazie

Promjeni ime u recimo jantarni otoci, i dalje je srcedrapateljujuce, a ima vise dodira sa stvarnim imenom. Ovo devils islands je totalno off.

La isola di Diavolo si trova molto più al nord,esattamente vicino ad isola di Rab,e durante regime totalitario di Tito degli Jugoslavi e di comunismo,era isola prigione dove confinavano gli oppositori di regime e prigionieri politici ma anche delinquenti comuni,cosi detti irrecuperabili,ed a tutti gli facevano sopportare pene di inferno,specialmente a detenuti politici.Per questo motivo si chiamava Djavoljev otok(isola di Diavolo).

You are wrong Roby. :) This name is like that because "art freedom". :ppp But real name of this islands is "Paklinski otoci" or "Paklina islands" and in background you see Island Vis. "Paklina" is name of material for building ships that was used long time before and that was rich in this islands in front of Hvar.

Island that you talk about is "Goli otok", not "Djavoljev otok"...and its location is right as you say... Btw: I never hear about name "Djavoljev otok"...
