Cosi' la traduzione essatta sarebbe Isole Spalmadori, ossia in Inglese Resin Islands. So, che non suona misterioso come Devil's island, pero' noi dell luogo troviamo molto buffo quando si sbaglia... "Paklina" is name of material for building ships that was used long time before and that was rich in this islands in front of Hvar.

Island that you talk about is "Goli otok", not "Djavoljev otok"...and its location is right as you say... Btw: I never hear about name "Djavoljev otok"...
