Greetings Michael, I knew I could depend on you to provide beautiful photographs of autumn in the great northwest. These leaves have an inner glow to them. Thanks for sharing.
Colores preciosos e increibles.
Beautiful and vibrant fall colors! Lovely photo..I just finally got a few shots of our trees last week and yesterday. Some just outside my back window..we had a really late display of color this year. Almost thought we weren't gonna get any color due to the dry summer and fall.

Thankyou for the comments! I was really blessed with the perfect lighting on this one. I was very happy to see this turn out.
This year I was worried that the fall colors were going to fade out fast, but with the rains of Oct and some here in Nov the colors lasted well into Nov. Usually the leaves are gone by the 1st week of Nov.
Beautiful shot Michael! Is it my imagination, or do you think we had more vivid fall colors this year in Oregon? I have been taking many fall shots this year also, and the colors seem to me to be brighter and more colorful this year. I've been loving it and am sorry to see Autumn leave (no pun intended!) us... :(

I usually take a 5 day vacation around the 12th of Oct to hit the Fall color scene around here. Most of the time I find that the colors and leaves are gone by the end of Oct. This year it appeared that the color season would be short lived. Then we received enough rain in mid Oct and it kept the trees fresh for a longer time this year. I think in 2000 was the last time we had an extended fall color season. Sure do like them though..
It also helps when you shoot in HDR. It brings a full range of luminosity to both over/underexposed parts of an image..
The more and more I look at this image the more I like it. I'm going to add it to the collection on my wall at home..
Brilliant! I see you love vine maples too, they are one of my favorite trees. My fall photos of them have never hit the mark like this though, this is great. I have a photo of the flowers, if you are interested.
Thank you! They are my favorite as well.
But these are Japanese maple. I have an image on VINE MAPLE HERE
I was lucky to find these leaves so full of mixed fall colors. When you do HDR photography you get to capture the full range of luminosity in the image. So darker sections are more vibrant and highlights are toned down, and mid ranges are more vivid.
I'm glad you enjoy my images, and I'll check out your flower shots as well.
Keep on Shooting and Sharing!
You know, I wondered (breifly) why other people always get the fantastic colours in the vine maples, and I don't! But this one is tagged vine maple, so I thought you got lucky. Of course I see now it is Japanese Maple, I have one in my yard, so I ought to know! Anyway, thanks for posting this. Some day I will look into the HDR process, it looks very useful.
Ooopss! My mistake. I mistakenly taged it as vine maple.
Now I have to figure out how to take it off.
Thanks for the heads up :)
