Hey Tommy! This is a great picture of my great uncle! I remember as a kid, hanging out in the bar to beat the heat! Mike was a great man, and I still have the guns he gave to me. We used to go quail/dove hunting after he sold MTB, and moved out to Hemet, CA where he retired with Madeline. I sure do miss the guy! Thanks for posting this picture. If you should ever come across more of Mikes Tacklebox or pics of Mike himself, please post! He set quite a few big fish records while residing and operating a business down at the Salton Sea, and if I am not mistaken, he still holds 1 or 2....

Hey Tom, you say that Mike was your Great-Uncle. He is also my Great-Uncle. Being the family genealogist, I'm curious to find out who you are and how you're related.

I guess I am related to Madeline's side(?). She was the sister of Esse Pierce who was married to Lee aka "Mom n' Pop". Esse Pierce had a son named Leslie "Bud" Bailey who married Bernadine Wolverton(?)They lived in Torrance in the early years, then moved out to Simi Valley...They had 5 children, one of them of which is my mother. I will post a pic of Great uncle Mike and me (when I was a real young kid)soon....

what a small world. great-looking fish. his records are probably safe- the sea can't support fish of this size anymore- too much salt and contaminants nowadays for a fish to grow old. hope you guys figure it out and maybe get together!
