Its bright blue eyes are most distinctive or is that a blue cast to your lens?

Yep, the same 'lil kitty, Jethro. I really can't lay my finger on it but I am (almost) of the opinion this is one of my all time best photographs. There is just something about it that keeps me coming back to look at it.

The spot on DoFoF helps enormously Kevin as does the composition. The fact that the cat is looking elsewhere other than the camera takes the viewer's eyes away.

Composition is not my strong suit.

I think the thing that makes the photo is the intensity of the cat's gaze. You know - we all know instinctively - that inside, little puss is ready to prove that it is a deadly tiger...
