Very nice image and very colorful, but I confess to having no idea what's going on!
I'm from out of town.
Its an old....slide or negative?
Its come out VERY good.
Well, Jethro, you could go see the Durham Bulls next Spring - not that far from you. This is a great way to spend an afternoon, drink a brew or two - so much better that watching baseball on TV.
Yes, I scanned the film - not as good as the original, but good enough to share. Glad you like it. Hint: this is what it looks like at the ball park (O:
At first I thought an unusual subject for Suzi but then I saw the obvious circles and other geometric shapes and thought of your tyre tracks in the snow photos. Great composition.
I think Jethro is having you on Suzi! He's originally from my part of the world, Yorkshire in England, but even I know this is baseball or a version of "rounders" as it's called in England, where it was played with a bat like a small flat cricket bat, by lads like me and Jethro at our junior schools in the 1950's!
Best wishes - Jim
I have been to see the Burham Dulls..... a great way to waste an evening. The best bit was when the man in the furry suit came on and drove the little car around the field.
That is why Baseball is better than Cricket! Because of the little man in the cow suit and the little electric car!
Oh and the crazy music they play all the time. Cricket would be better if they had laugh tracks too.
Remember you heard it here first folks!
I've never seen a cricket match, Jethro, and the things you describe in Durham can be seen in the film 'Bull Durham'. Guess I won't be converting you to baseball - boo! Hugs anyway (O:
Thanks for your very nice comment on my 30 year old image, dear Jim in Ireland! I love baseball, but I probably wouldn't enjoy it so well if I hadn't attended pro games. Mom loved it too, and we listened to games on the radio when I was a kid. She was a Dodger fan, Dad was a Yankee fan who knew way more than the umpires ;O), and I liked the Giants (I thought they really were giants when I was so young!) One of the greatest thrills of my entire life was entering a Major League stadium for the first time (O:
Well if you did convert me Suzi given that I am from the Carolinas and have a well developed sense of irony and fun, I would probably be a Cocks fan
But that would just be so that I could wear the hat!
Best wishes - Jethro
