In the Western U.S., you've been "rimrocked" when you find yourself at the top of a 20 or 30 ft. strata of rock and can't jump down. This is a situation you should try to avoid. The dead tree trunk in this picture is the only place in a 2 mile stretch of rimrock where you can climb up and down.
