This is a graph of the power curve from the SMART 1 spacecraft as it transited from GTO orbit to Lunar orbit. Since this was an ion powered spacecraft the transit time was long, therefore you can see the change in the spacecraft power level due to the changing of the yearly distance from the Earth to the Sun. The secondary squiggles to the right represent the varying distance of the Moon from the Sun as it circles the Earth (and SMART 1 circled the Moon)
