This image was photographed in 5 segments and stiched together using Photoshop. The date was March 24, 2006 on the beach at the D River wayside
The orginal size is 6896 x 2300 and has a file size of 5.13megs. I used a Canon XT with 28-70mm 2.8f Sigma lense. I have never seen such a dynamic beach sunset as this one in person before.
I Love this shot!! and the best thing about it was that I Photographed it on my Birthday!
Thanks for the comments!
Oh Ya it's one of my Favorite! The color isn't too far off from actually being there. I was really amazed at this sunset because I have never seen one with so much detail. My other sunset shot was flat in the inital shots. Eventhough the sunset was really cool I needed to add color and contrast to make the image stand out.
All in All though I like this one also.
Thanks for the comments.
The wave action in the foreground brings this photo alive, just like being there -- great shot and stitching too Michael. Ideal panorama for panoramio -- definitely a 'best of'.
Thanks Bruce!! :)
Hey - I am from Forest Grove... come out here and take some pictures here! It is a historic town filled with potentially beautiful photographs. Pacific University has some beautiful buildings. Just a thought.
Thank you for that very nice picture taken near Cape Kiwanda. I have fond memories of going there when I was young, climbing that sand dune... my first kiss... :) Fond times. TY for the background.
You are very Welcome Toltrin!
Some day I will make it up to Forest Grove and check it out. :)
Thanks for the info..
Beautiful sunset picture Michael! Wonderful colors! You did a great job photoshopping all those pictures together.
If you have a chance to browse through my collection, you'll see that I have an obsession for sunsets and sunrises... ;-)
Wow Thanks for looking at collection. I'm happy you like so many of them :)
I took a quick scan of your collection. Very nice! I will take a much closer look this coming week.
Thanks for all the compliments!
Nice, nice, nice.
From Vasc Country, Spain.
It's fantastic. On the right side, this tongue of land. On the upper left, a strip of blue sky which is also reflected below, in the water. In other words, a very attractive symmetry. I love it. YS. Greetings. Penelope
Wow thank you for the Kind Compliment!
This was one of my 1st panoramics and this sunset happened on my Birthday. I thanks Mother nature for giving my eyes such a beautiful sight!
