Once a large commerical fish processing port prior to World War II, as well as a former Coast Guard post in recent times, the port is shown at Rush Hour. Note Life raft on stern of boat. This boat makes a day long run to Serero-Kruilsk, to drop off it's load of salted Salmom. Note open hatch on the boat. Yes, we rode in the open hole for almost a day from Severo Kurilsk in rough, freezing, open seas. I keep my lunch. Photo taken late Summer 1991
