Superman Takes Lombard - San Francisco

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Superman takes Lombard Street. Of course this Superman was a cab driver who zipped down beautiful Lombard street at light speed with the tires squealing all the way. I would imagine the passenger had challenged the driver. "Let's see just how fast you can take it!!!" The cab had one of those illuminated signs on top which left a wonderful Superman blue streak.

Something that made it significantly different than the previous shot in my stream.

The Bay Bridge can be seen just to the right of Coit Tower. An carnival on Treasure Island illuminates the sky with spot lights which came out nicely in this shot. In the distance you can make out the pyramid like lights that make up the new Oakland Bay Bridge that will replace the one which collapsed in the earthquake. The cables are going up now. This is one of San Francisco's most famous landmarks and it was quite busy with photographers and couples taking in the site. There's nothing quite like San Francisco.

Fleet Week is this coming weekend. See you there!
