Cave 19. A chaitya interior with beautifully columns and figures. The ceiling were carved with rib-like structure for audio effect when chanting behind the main structure. It was used as early as 2nd century BC found in Karla Buddhist caves. The churches echo effect could have originated from here. 6th century. Ajanta cave temple, Maharashtra state, India.
