one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. and just for scale the mountains across the fjord are about 9,000 feet tall.
Great photo, I really like it.
Best regards and wishing a nice weekend, Imre
Very good shot! Like!
thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures.
In summer 2013 a friend and me want to charter a boat in the Prince Williams Sound and doing some day hikes on different mountains (or hills :-) ). Using Google Earth and an online map providing very accurate maps of Alaska (http://sv.gina.alaska.edu/), I was searching for mountains which should be possible without difficult climbing. And in Panoramio I discovered, that you have already visited some of these places, namely:
Mount Doran, which we want to do from Point Doran (or maybe we'll stop at one of it's northern foothills, if the going get too tough)
An unnamed hill above Columbia Glacier west of Anderson Pass
If it's ok with you to tell me a little bit about your trekking there, send your mail address to email@example.com, I will send you a mail with my questions. And in case you have any questions about the areas I was traveling (see http://www.panoramio.com/user/62557), I'm more than happy to answer them.
