Rising tide at Anstruther

Dear Anne, thank you. It's a busy photo I agree, but there was a lot to see on the quayside in Anstruther. The weather was beautiful and the tourists were there in abundance!

Hello there dear Marianne, this wee fishing village is in Scotland, but it isn't much different from those in England. It is quite different from Norway though I think. Many of the coastal fishing areas have boathouses, and far fewer homes so near the coast!

Dear Billy, if you get to Anstruther you could take the Fife trail round the Neuk o' Fife from St.Momans, to Pittenweem then to Anstruther and Cellardyke easily in a day. You wouldn't be disappointed ;))

Dear Ahmet, the summer is a time for being out and about, not for sitting in front of a computer, so I don't use Panoramio so much then. Now the days are getting very short, I'll have more time for visits.

Good morning Steve, it sure was a factor 30 and Panama hat day - probably one of the best of summer 2011. The eat Neuk o' Fife was looking good.

Thanks for your fulsome praise. I am in the best of spirits here in Norway, despite some near gale force winds, hail, sleet, thunder storms and today rain.

But it's an ill wind as the saying goes - I might just catch up on replies and visits!
