Hi Diggory

The Ice House was used before the days of the refrigerator, by the landed gentry.

This estate belonged to the Earls of Dudley, and in the 1700's the House seen here was built. The surrounding gardens were designed by the famous English Landscaper called Capability Brown.

The Ice House seen here would be built to store ice collected from the Great Pool shown here and the ice may well have lasted through the summer months to preserve food.

All the best Peter, GOOD RESULT FOR ZENIT TONIGHT!
