thank you Kevin & Haggs! i can easy see us going there every year. whole event is wonderful experience. my other half has birthday in around the dates when the festival happens :)

i agree- its like they thought everything out before to suit photographers :)

im not sure about the friday, but the baloons fly on saturday and sunday mornings definately- so you got even chance to re-take your pictures if they didnt come out satisfactory on the first day :)

it was really funny: on the saturday we slept in! we got woke up because we had to move car.. it was gloomy morning so we just had a wee wander with cameras thinking -never mind tomorrow will get the shots. sunday morning we woke up at 7:00 but there was nothing there!! its sort of 8:00a.m.event, 7:45- still nothing and nobody in the valley... and then about 5min to eight whole row of cars with trailers arrived, baloons out, fire on.. and off they went... we hardly had time to rush over to view point :D

Hahaha..... I liked your story Unda (as well as this magnificent set).

I am going to have to do some research locally, I am sure we're getting to that time of the year!

This whole wee set is gorgeous (did I just say that?)

thank you all very much for visit and comments i very much appreciate it!

Jethro! thats a great idea! you should visit the place- its brilliant and its not comercialized so its not annoying and over crowded.. its almost like set in stone- last weekend in september. here is the plan for these festivals - they dont change the date couple weeks before the event etc (thats how we got conned rotten with the bristol festival- they suddenly changed dates few years ago so we never went there we went to france instead:D) if you have a look, you will see the plan for november: we are off to le puy today :)))))

Wow, what a spectacular sight! I thought you were actually on one of them, but I gather this is taken from a viewpoint? Very cool shot!

Fabulous shot. Totally agree with lizab.

Was it a winner at the time? It should have been!
