I'm sure I read a comment from you here yesterday evening Karl. It was about the fact that salt held far less importance in Germany. The comment is no longer there - perhaps I am suffering from Vitamin D deficiency like Clive!
I have no idea what has happened with my comment. I am innocent :) I like the presence of history in such a lot of places in GB: lime kilns, forts, standing stones, cists, cairns, remains of old settlements and farm houses and so on. Have a nice weekend, dear Amelia! Cheers, Karl
Beautiful landscape and romantic lonely windmill... YSL Greetings from France. Lydie
I think what happened is this, Karl:
After about 1 hour on-line, my connections becomes very slow, and the only thing I can do is switch off. I probably did this when your comment wasn't 'cemented' into place.
Yes there is so much history in Scotland. The humps that you can see in the background are also the remains of salt pan houses covered in grass. I think they will only leave this one uncovered.
Warm wishes, Amelia
