Hi Peter That tree has struggled to live against all the odds. I have got to visit that tree.(Like3)/Fav/3 Regards Bob

Hi Bob

This path is in the Estate of Himley Hall, and i had been further up a couple of weeks before, when the descent seemed very slippery. Much easier going up, and a fantastic tree!

The Estate was probably designed by Capability Brown, and the Hall, gateways and ice house are all listed buildings. Just before the tree I came across this bridge through which you can see a glimpse of the Hall, strangely not listed.

All the best Peter

Hi Peter. Saw this on the back of your comments on Anne's woodland 'steps'. Both are really nice pictures and good compositions and colours. Like. Best wishes, Andy

Very beautiful picture, Peter! The place looks very similar to our Palatinate Forest! I would like to walk up these steps, follow the trail and enjoy the landscape! LIKE! Best regards, Anne
