A lovely shot! Used to drive to Alnmouth some Sunday's. My hubby's favourite spot was Amble, where he spent many childhood holidays.

It's a strange thing here, in Port Philip Bay we don't have tides, the water falls and rises only a few feet but in Western Port Bay (the other side of the Peninsula) it drops dramatically

With the goegraphy of the bay, I'm not surprised there's no tide. That narrow entrance really minimizes the effects of wave action on the level of the water in the bay.
