I think you need good shoes to walk up that steep hill.

A very good shot and composition.

Greetings, Jack

Hi Ray, thanks for the link and thanks for making it a favourite. I remember seeing the Hovis advert but what I remember more is seeing Terence Stamp in his red soldiers uniform in 1967 riding a horse up Gold Hill when filming 'Far from the Madding Crowd'. I had a holiday job near there in a hairdressers and couldn't wait to finish!

Best wishes, Rosa.

I know it's a bit of a cliche now, but it's still a breathtaking scene and yours is one of the nicest photos I have seen of it. ys+l. Best wishes, Andy

Thank you very much for your kind praise Andy, and for your YS&L. There's no denying, it's a beautiful place. Best wishes, Rosa.

Yes is it Rosa and a little bitter-sweet for me as I had a good friend who lived very near here who passed away recently - but shots like yours only re-inforce the good memories! Many thanks for the nice comments, and have a good weekend. best wishes, Andy

Ah I see, that's sad. I live 7 miles from here so often take a walk around the lake. Thanks for your good wishes and hope you have a good weekend too. Best wishes, Rosa.
