The "Schneeberg" is the highest mountain of the "Fichtelgebirge" with 1051 meters (3448 feet) above See level. The tower on top is a monument from the cold war that was used by US and German armed forces to spy on the neighboring Eastern block and the top of the hill was "off limits" to non military personnel during that time period. Picture was taken from the Ochsenkopf which is the second highest mountain in the area at 1024 Meters (3359 feet) above see level. ---> Google English Web Translations (no guarantee on results :) : Schneeberg --- Fichtelgebirge --- Ochsenkopf
